We are seeking a talented and compassionate Baker to join our diverse and inclusive team. As a Baker, you will play a crucial role in crafting delicious baked goods while contributing to a positive and supportive work environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Follow existing standard recipes to ensure consistent quality.

  • Accurately measure, weigh, and prepare ingredients.

  • Monitor oven temperatures, speed settings, and equipment to maintain optimal conditions.

  • Adhere to strict health and safety standards to ensure a clean and safe working environment.

  • Clean and maintain baking equipment, utensils, and tools.

  • Monitor baking processes, recording temperatures for quality control.

  • Decorate, glaze, or pipe icing on baked goods as required.

  • Evaluate ingredients and finished products for quality and freshness.

  • Adapt ingredient quantities to meet production needs.

  • Order and receive supplies, goods, and materials.

  • Prepare and pack baked goods for delivery, coordinating with drivers.

  • Organize and store inventory in freezers, chillers, and dry storage.

  • Print daily orders and recipes, maintaining accurate records.

  • Participate in inventory counts to optimize stock levels.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Baker or Supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • High school certificate or equivalent.

  • Previous experience as a chef, baker's assistant, or related role.

  • Culinary certificate (preferred).

  • Ability to work early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

  • Basic computer skills and math skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong multitasking, prioritization, and time management skills.

  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods.

  • Team-oriented, self-motivated, and self-directed.

  • Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to lift up to 25 kg or more.

  • Familiarity with professional kitchen equipment, mixers, and ovens.

  • Knowledge of sanitation procedures and food safety regulations.

  • Openness to working collaboratively with colleagues who may have special needs.
