Why does this job exist and why is it critical?​

The Hybrid Cloud DevOps Engineer is part of the Cloud COE team, responsible as a subject matter expert for management, maintain, and provide support including provisioning, onboarding, management, and overseeing the infrastructure as a code(IaC) development of cloud services.

The Hybrid Cloud DevOps Engineer works collaboratively with the COE team and project team in ensuring cloud services are provided seamlessly, and aligned with cloud architecture, platform engineering and delivery team in the development of cloud governance and processes.

Responsible to work with cross-functional team for build, test, integrate, monitor and manage cloud Infrastructure. Continuously improve the Cloud infrastructure to compliance with the governance policy from the perspectives of policy, standards, security, governance, and regulatory requirements, and all relevant cloud best practices.

What are you accountable for:

  • Able to work Independently using the way of innovative. Supporting the further development and operation of cloud platform using IaC (Infrastructure as a code).
  • Use DevOps methodologies for the deployment of complex infrastructures and services. Require work in agile interdisciplinary teams and participate in the development of optimized deployment IaC scripts and methods.
  • Good understanding of software development processes and work on the area such as Cloud Governance, IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, Dev “Sec” Ops, Containers, Cloud-native, CI / CD Pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, Terraform, Ansible, Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Security as well as Windows & Linux.
  • Experience in multi-cloud environments (Azure / AWS / Google) with scripting skills (Bash, Phyton), with CI/CD tools. Understanding of containerisation principles and frameworks (Kubernetes, Docker).
  • Proficient in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Azure ARM and Google Cloud Deployment Manager. Familiar with tools like Ansible, Jenkins, Chef and other open-source tooling. Experience in infrastructure deployment using these tools.
  • Work closely with application teams to build & configure the platforms and include setup of any necessary security, automation, monitoring, and platform management processes.
  • Strong root cause analysis skills, investigation, diagnosis and reporting. Possess with In-depth knowledge of cloud computing platforms and services. Knowledge of networking concepts, such as IP addressing, DNS, and load balancing. Understanding of data storage and database technologies, such as SQL and NoSQL.
  • Operate in an independent work environment, taking initiative and having confidence to tackle complex problems without regular management oversight.
  • Experience with architecting, implementing and maintaining highly available mission critical environments for 24×7 availability. Demonstrated history of working within deadlines and ability to work well under pressure.
  • Focus on Serverless architectures, and highly automated implementation and optimization. Identify and take leads on opportunities to improve individually and at the organizational level. Learn, coach, and share knowledge and skills with other team members.
  • Key Performance Measures:
  • 100% of Incidents, Service Request (SR) and Event Resolved within 3 hours (Severity 1)
  • 100% of Incidents, Service Request (SR) and Event Resolved within 6 hours (Severity 2)
  • 99% Operational Changes implemented successfully and on time
  • 100% of Problems have an RCA within 3 days from when Incident is Resolved (Severity 1)
  • 100% of Problems have an RCA within 3 days from when Incident is Resolved (Severity 2)
  • >99.95% per month per server (applies to on-prem and cloud instances)
  • Deliver high customer (i.e. business user) satisfaction on incidents and service requests

What do you need to have for the role?

  • Possess good technical knowledge in hybrid cloud Infrastructure as a code(IaC)
  • ITIL V4
  • AWS, GCP or Azure related certifications
  • Equipped with skillsets to write ansible playbook for automation purposes.
