Job Description:Job Duties and Responsibilities: * Client Management
  • Set the team up to be able to effectively propose value-added solutions for handling, respond to client queries and generate quotations to capture opportunistic businesses that drives JP's top line
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all general cargo external matters
  • Develop direct relationships and bridge between customers (carriers, consignees, agencies, etc) and JP to drive key strategic goals
  • Establish representation in industry through associations for communication on critical matters and gather feedback on port-wide changes
  • Be kept abreast with latest developments in the various industries and provide analysis and updates where required
  • Secure lease agreements and develop pipelines for leasing of open yards
  • Collaborate with agencies like JTC, MPA, etc to improve infrastructural and/or facilities to enhance operational accessibility and competency
  • Internal Collaboration
  • Ensure requirements are effectively communicated with operations for execution on ground
  • Oversee vendor management to ensure compliance and achievement of target service levels
  • Cross-department collaboration with internal departments to represent the business considerations across all areas like transformation, technical services, etc
  • Collaborating with finance on account management matters, aging AR matters and budget analysis of financial data to identify trends and potential areas for improvement
  • Work closely to represent contracts, billing and payment department to the customers so that commercial operations can run smoothly in compliance with SOPs
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field. Candidates with relevant work experience may also be considered.
  • Pro-active team player with a visible sense of urgency, excellent communication skills and ability to work in a very dynamic environment
  • Thrives in fast-paced environment with many priorities simultaneously
  • Positive mind-set focusing on daily execution, standardization, and continuous improvement
