Associate Director (Retail Dining Operations)
Job DescriptionRetail Dining Services
• Oversee daily operations of canteens, cafes, food courts, and retail stores, ensuring efficient, high-quality service. This entails working closely with stakeholders and the tenants to address their concerns and needs.
• Ensure that food hygiene standards and compliances are adhered to and ensure all the outlets are regularly inspected to maintain high hygiene standards and complete micro-biological testing as per schedule.
• Ensure that all operational feedback, safety related issues and emergencies are responded to and rectified promptly on a 24/7 basis.
• Maintain high student satisfaction across multiple canteens, cafes, food courts, and retail outlets on campus via administering/analysis of regular customer surveys.
• Plan, budget, and implement asset enhancement works to the retail and dining outlets.
• Handle fit-out coordination including reviewing of renovation proposals and drawings on a timely basis.
• Manage reinstatement works and pre-handing over inspections for expiring outlets.
• Work with lease management colleagues on tenancy matters and recommend improvement works needed for outlets due for renewals.
• Implement and monitor sustainability initiatives such as waste reduction, energy-efficient equipment, energy usage, and green efforts.
• Promote, implement, and manage smart and innovative projects.
• Handle procurement and contract management needed e.g., ITQ and ITTs.
• Engage and collaborate with tenants, stakeholders, and students on new initiatives.
• Act as safety coordinator to enhance safety and promote security awareness among tenants.
• Review BCP and carry out yearly TTX and call tree exercise.
• Any other related duties as assigned.
• Degree in Real Estate, Hospitality, or F&B Management.
• Proven experience - at least 8 years & above in a similar position with F&B operations such as food courts, retail, and F&B outlets.
• Strong knowledge in Food Safety Management System and Halal certification processes.
• Experience with sustainability initiatives in dining operations is preferred.
• Proficiency in retail and food service management software systems.
• Innovative and creative familiarity in menu planning with good knowledge of dietary and nutritional requirements.
• Strong leadership skills with excellent people skills.
• A good team player who is passionate, proactive, meticulous, and responsible with a willingness to learn.
• Ability to think outside the box with great problem-solving skills and resourcefulness.
• Ability to prepare contracts, proposals & approval papers for top management.
• Proficient in MS Office applications.
