Job DescriptionPrepare and execute market strategy for assigned segments and jurisdictions working within the business development (BD) department.
  • Actively source the market for business opportunities.
  • Support other BD team members in establishing new business.
  • Visits potential customers and discuss business opportunities.
  • Actively contact end users for upcoming tenders.
  • Preparing and follow-up quotation and management proposals to vessels owners / charterers.
  • Prepare budgets for tenders, working in collaboration with the technical, marine and crewing department.
  • Conduct risk assessment and go/no go assessments of potential clients.
  • Knowledgeable in cost drivers of the business and associated market comparisons.
  • Assist with preparation of promotion material and advertising.
  • Adapt to new market situations and use the improvisations and lessons learnt as marketing tool.
  • Any other duties as directed by the senior management.
  • Provide leadership in Business Development with inter-related personnel.
  • Provide client interface for the life cycle of the sale, including transition to operations and after sales contact / liaison.
  • Travel globally in order to meet potential clients and attend meetings.
