Job Description:

This is a full role for an Safety Officer located in Seletar North Link. Our client dormitories services. You will take the responsibilities conducting site inspections and periodic safety audits to ensure compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations, while proactively identifying and mitigating risks through thorough assessments and regular monitoring. Key responsibilities include organizing and delivering safety training sessions, such as toolbox meetings and emergency response drills, to ensure personnel are well-versed in safety protocols and the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE). The Safety Officer will investigate accidents and near-misses, recommend preventive measures, and prepare detailed incident reports for management and authorities. Additionally, they will implement and enforce safety protocols, ensuring these are updated in line with regulatory and policy changes, and liaise with bodies like the Ministry of Manpower to maintain compliance. The role also involves developing emergency response plans, maintaining accurate safety documentation, and fostering clear communication between management and workers to cultivate a strong safety culture.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Valid Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) certification recognized by MOM, with additional certifications in risk management, fire safety, first aid, being advantageous.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Safety Officer in the construction industry, with a strong understanding of WSH regulations in Singapore.
  • Excellent knowledge of construction site safety practices and legal requirements.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
