Regional Legal Counsel - SEA (Manufacturing)

Our Client

My client is currently looking for a Regional Legal Counsel to be based in Singapore.

1. Legal & Contract Management

• Provide proactive internal legal services, including transactional support and negotiation covering all legal areas relevant to the Company’s business
• Ensure full compliance with HQ Legal policies and regulations
• Act as liaison between Legal Team and other employees, operating departments and bodies
• Handle daily office administration and management
• Liaison with external legal counsel, evaluation of legal service received.
• Use of the intra-company Legal Service System
• Develop and implement contracts filing and management system(for original hardcopies and soft copies in legal service system)
• Prepare work plans and coordinate scheduling and timely completion of work for all legal support personnel.

2. Legal Risk Management & Compliance Training

• Full contract management (drafting, revision, negotiation, and providing advice).
• Full dispute management (claim, litigations, arbitration, administrative, resolution, appeals, reporting to HQ Legal)
• Accurate and timely management of all Contingent Liabilities.
• Corporate Housekeeping – manage corporate documents.
• Coordinate and provide legal & compliance awareness trainings to management, employees and third party vendors/contractors.
• Manage training history and data for both online & offline learning record.
• Develop training curriculum (ad hoc)
• Draft training materials and provide (onsite) training.

To Qualify

• Bachelors degree (or equivalent) and 2 - 5 or more years of experience in related field
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well under pressure
