Key Accountabilities:
Expert / Global Process
- Global Material Master Data Maintenance Team co-ordinator, ensuring the efficient
and effective maintenance of the material master data for SG plant
- Processing parts warranty claims, ensuring the efficient and effective management
of all parts warranty issues
- TLSAT Parts - Technical Support representative with Operational Service Desk
(OSD) role in the Customer Care Centre (CCC)
- Quality discrepancy inventory (Q & S) co-ordinator
Function
- Provide technical assistance on the suitability of engine parts and tools to meet
customer’s requirements
- Creation and maintenance of Material Master, Parts Supersession Chain, BOM and
other relevant system data
- Build up databases for efficient part verifications and expert knowledge
- Assess and provide recommendation on parts’ quality issues
- Assist customers in building the parts lists for overhaul/maintenance of their
engines and the stocking of parts
- Recommend items to be inventoried based on technical information, campaigns
and market requirements
- Involve in project teams handling parts proposals, life cycle costing and integrated
logistics support
- Review relevant KPIs regularly and takes corrective actions if necessary
Special assignment from time to time.
Qualifications and Skills:
Degree/Diploma in Mechanical / Marine Engineering
Knowledge of diesel engines and experience working in an engine related industry /business
Experience in interpreting engineering drawings and parts cataloguing
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and knowledge in operating SAP – Material Master preferred
