Job Summary
Provides foundational technical and systems support under the guidance of senior Operations Support Engineers. Identifies opportunities for process improvements and assists in the development of documentation and training materials.
Responsibilities:
Support Sales Team & Sales Engineering: Assist with cost preparation and management, collaborating closely with stakeholders like Sales Engineering, TDM, and Data Center Ops.
Vendor Management: Oversee vendor quotations, ensuring cost, quality, and timelines are met. Negotiate pricing and ensure timely project delivery.
Cost Rate Management: Review and update standard costing rate book and auto-sheet annually.
Costing Process:
Conduct site surveys and manage vendor quotes.
Coordinate with Data Center Ops and TDM for technical support.
Compare and negotiate quotes to provide Sales Engineering with optimized, competitive costing.
Cost Evaluation:
Analyze proposed vs. actual costs.
Monitor vendor product/service quality against cost.
Ensure vendors meet KPIs and identify areas for improvement.
Product/Service Evaluation:
Manage new and existing products/services from vendors.
Drive improvements in lead time and cost without compromising quality.
Qualifications
Typically 1+ years of relevant experience
Advanced Diploma or Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent experience
