Description

Grounded in a talent-centric mindset, Maker Lab is a marketing agency designed to build decentralised technology-led agency teams, rooted in collaboration with clients from the ground up. Maker Lab’s cross-functional teams of multidisciplinary specialists are embedded into client teams across digital marketing competencies — from measurement & analytics to content production.

Social Media & Content Specialist

As the Social Media & Content Specialist, you'll be working with one of our clients - one of the largest technology companies in the world and helping them with growing their social media credentials across different platforms and target audiences.

You will help build and manage the social media strategies, campaigns and content marketing on an ongoing basis. You will work closely with the APAC Marketing teams when designing and delivering effective social media marketing campaigns and evergreen rollouts - from strategy, ideation, assets creation and development, execution, day-to-day operations, community management to overall project management. You will work closely with cross functional teams and manage relationships with internal and external partners to move projects towards a common business and marketing goal. You will also ensure relevant content analysis is done to reach goals effectively, helping to influence future decisions.

As a social media and content specialist, you will wear many hats - a marketer, a project manager and a community manager - thus, the ability to pivot quickly and effectively is critical to this role. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about technology, understands what is trending currently, well-versed in social media management and has strong content and copywriting skills.

Role:

  • Build and manage the content strategy roadmap, operations, optimisation and growth of the brand’s social campaigns and evergreen content across APAC
  • Track and analyse performance to craft actionable insights and provide strategic business recommendations
  • Keep up to date with content-related digital and social best practices, and industry trends to identify opportunities for engagement
  • Build and drive new content ideas to meet social media targets and objectives, with effective presentation of ideas to internal stakeholders across countries and levels
  • Manage agency partners to develop content assets, communicate strategic priorities, and oversee community management

You:

  • Degree in Business, Communications, Marketing preferred, or equivalent industry experience, ideally in the technology, creative marketing or social media agencies
  • 5+ years of experience in Social Media Strategy and Marketing.
  • A passion for the technology, video sharing ecosystem, digital culture and current online social trends
  • A strategic and creative thinker who is able to navigate around an always-on social landscape and roll with the changes in a dynamic environment
  • Experience in effectively communicating and influencing business stakeholders across countries in APAC
  • Proven track record of developing sound digital strategies and running innovative campaigns that meet target goals
  • Excellent analytical skills to measure success and inform future content and digital initiatives, experience with social media analytics platforms (eg. Sprinklr) preferred
  • Ability to prioritise between short-term demands and long-term needs
  • Solid project management experience and commitment to quality and attention to detail
  • Experience working with creative agencies and internal teams to drive media execution
  • Passionate about working as part of a larger team to deliver on a common goal
  • Exceptional verbal and written English communications and presentations skills and, ideally, fluent in another Asian language to support with the projects spanning across JAPAC.
