A Research Associate (RA) position is available immediately. The successful applicant will join an expanding team to work on projects in the field of Chronic Disease Management and Psychosocial Rehabilitation. He/She will be working with an interdisciplinary research team based at the Lee Kong Chiang School of Medicine NTU, and the primary research involves an intervention study that develops and test the efficacy of a holistic health coaching programme to support individuals with high risk of cardiovascular disease. Successful candidate is expected to work closely with professionals in the field of medicine and psychological sciences, as well as with clinical population groups.
RA is expected to plan, organize, implement and manage research projects, in collaboration with principal investigators. The specific roles include project management and coordination, liaison with community collaborators, programme and curriculum development, programme delivery, professional training, literature review, supporting data collection and research implementation, data transcription and data analysis, compile findings and drafting of research reports, as well as co-author academic journal publications with project principal investigators. Specific requirement include:
- Possesses a Master’s Degree in psychology, counselling, social work, health science or related fields from a reputable university
- Possesses professional training in health and wellness coaching
- Must be fluent in Spoken and Written English and Mandarin
- Demonstrate excellent inter-personal communication skills
- Strong experience and proficiency in mixed methods research
- Competent in MS Office, SPSS, NVivo and Qualtrics
- A team player with the ability to work independently in a multi-cultural environment
- Two-Year contact with the possibility of renewal
Key Responsibilities:
Coordination and Implementation
- Manage a coordinate programme logistics, including scheduling coaching sessions, ensuring smooth and efficient operations, acting as key liaison with Community Partners
- Ad hoc support in recruitment and enrollment of eligible individuals into the programme
- Provide ongoing health coaching, support, and information to programme participants
- Support the design of a CVD-specific health coaching programme and training curriculum
- Delivery CVD-specific health coaching and training sessions
Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of programme activities and progress towards program goals
- Prepare regular progress reports and presentations for stakeholders and funding partners
- Ad-hoc research project administrative support
Monitoring and Evaluation
- Support data collection to assess the impact and effectiveness of the programme
- Manage and oversee data analysis
- Engage in data transcription where appropriate
- Writing of research reports, inclusive of literature review and journal publications
