We are looking for a Research Fellow to drive innovation in soft and stretchable electronic systems by addressing critical challenges in interconnect design, enabling their extensive deployment in advanced applications. The role involves leveraging expertise in flexible electronics, modular soft robotics, and artificial neuron systems to develop intelligent, adaptive technologies that integrate sensing, data processing, and actuation capabilities. The aim is to contribute to the creation of robust, scalable solutions that advance the field of soft interconnects and intelligent devices.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct research collaboratively with team members to ensure the timely completion of project deliverables.
Design, develop, and fabricate soft interconnects for stretchable electronic devices, enabling their integration into functional systems such as wearable and robotic platforms.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to advance the deployment of next-generation flexible and stretchable electronic systems.
Assist in grant writing.
Maintenance of lab or equipment or supplies that include procurement and liaison with suppliers.
Assist or produce high quality reports and documents that consolidate research findings
Publish research findings in high-impact journals and present at international conferences.
Contribute to the mentoring and guidance of junior researchers and students, fostering an environment of learning and innovation within the project team.
Job Requirements:
PhD degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics engineering, or related field.
At least 4 years of relevant experiences in soft robotics
Expertise in soft robots, actuators, mechanical sensors, strain sensors, flexible electronics.
Proficiency in mechanical testing, electrical testing, materials characterization, system integration
Good written and oral communication skills
Capable of design and assemble of device prototypes.
Candidates with publications in top-tier scientific journals are preferred.
