Department: F10 HVM ENGG Process and Equipment Engineering
Title: Modulated Recipe Shell Development for Metal Films
Description: With increasingly advanced 3D NAND designs, processes are required to run on tighter process window. Thus, physical vapor deposition process requires process improvement to improve on the marginality from process variation across maintenance life. Therefore, there a need to approach the problem in a novel way to reduce the dependency, and hence variation across maintenance life. However this novel approach requires extensive study across various process conditions to ensure that the robustness of the process and readiness for high-volume manufacturing.
Scope: Characterization of process performance and product morphology at various conditions, testing and comparing the input, response and outcome. Perform experiments using Design of Experiments (DOE) to validate the hypothesis and analyse the resultant data using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and other analytical techniques.
Deliverable: Full analysis of impact and effectiveness of novel approach on various PVD films and levels to resolve target life trending concerns.
Skillset Required: Engineering fundamentals, Chemistry, Physics, Material Science, hypothesis testing, experiment design & experiment techniques, engineering statistics, data analysis techniques.
Courses of Interest: Chemical Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related fields.
Duration Period: 6 months
