SMI hosts a wide range of Adult Courses and Certification - from WSQ Courses, Diploma and Workshops for both companies and individuals.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Business Unit Director (Adult Education Training) at Stag Match Institute.
We are looking for an experienced Director to control and oversee all business operations, sales, business growth, people and ventures. You will be one of the Top Management personal in the organisation and will be responsible for the overall success of the business.He/She must have a good track record of the his/her achievement
The ideal candidate will be a strategist and a leader able to steer the company to the most profitable direction while also implementing its vision, mission and long term goals. Very strong crisis management skills will also be essential since the Director is the one expected to “save” the company in times of need.
The goal is to ensure the company is constantly moving towards fulfilling its short-term and long-term objectives and does not diverge from its strategic guidelines.
The Director will also be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, managing course development, collaborating with certified trainers, and ensuring the delivery of updated industry-relevant knowledge to trainees.
Responsibilities
He/She is responsible to guide and direct the managers and staff from various departments to adhere to the following crucial tasks
- Setting up the business unit.
- Review, revise and improve processes and workflows for departments
- Ensure departments comply and adhere to workflows committed to CPE, SSG, MOE and other Government Agency.
- Take charge and liaise with Partner, Stalk holder, CPE and SSG for the annual audits
- Able to handle daily Operation with the team
- Play a ‘counsellor’ role during annual internal assessment and devise action plans to close gap to better prepare the staff and managements for external audits by CPE , SSG and MOE.
- Handle and manage quality assurance – at both the academic and administration level.
- Able to build new streams of incomes.
- Develop and execute the company’s business strategies in order to attain and achieve short and long-term goals of company
- Provide insights and strategic advice to Group CEO / Managing Director to have accurate view of the market and the company’s future
- Prepare and implement comprehensive business plans to facilitate achievement by planning cost-effective operations and market development activities
- Ensure company policies and legal guidelines are communicated all the way from the top down in the company and that they are followed at all times
- Communicate and maintain trust relationships with business partners and authorities
- Oversee the company’s performance, investments and other business ventures
- Delegate responsibilities and supervise the work of executives providing guidance and motivation to drive maximum performance
- Read all submitted reports by lower rank managers to reward performance, prevent issues and resolve problems
- Act as the public speaker and public relations representative of the company in ways that strengthen its profile
- Analyze problematic situations and occurrences and provide solutions to ensure company survival and growth
Requirements:
- Proven experience as Director or other managerial position
- CPE and SSG knowledge
- Experience in Adult Education Training and Course Development
- Strong Leadership and Management Skills to lead the team
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation and presentation skills
- Understanding of Education Regulations and Compliance
- Demonstrable experience in developing strategic business operation and business sales plans
- Thorough knowledge of market changes and forces that influence the company
- Strong understanding of corporate finance and measures of performance
- Excellent organisational and leadership skills
- Outstanding analytical , critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Able to excel in high-pressure situations.
- Able to steer the company from all the difficulty and issues
Job Types: Full-time, Contract, Permanent
Salary: $5,000.00 - $8,000.00 per month + Group Commission (Quarterly)
