A Finance and Accounts Executive plays a crucial role in managing a company’s financial health and ensuring accurate financial reporting. Here are some key responsibilities and duties typically associated with this role:
Job Description and Responsibilities
1. Financial Reporting and Analysis: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide insights for decision-making. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
2. Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation and planning of budgets. Monitor and report on budget variances. Develop financial forecasts to support strategic planning. 3. Accounting Operations: Oversee daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable. Reconcile bank statements and manage cash flow. Maintain accurate financial records and ensure they are up-to-date.
4. Audit and Compliance: Participate in internal and external financial audits. Ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures. Implement and review financial controls to mitigate risks.
5. Financial Strategy and Planning: Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management. Develop and implement financial policies to improve operational efficiency. Supports the GM in strategic financial planning and decision-making.
6. Team Management: Supervise and train finance assistants. Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations, costing and tracking efficiency. Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
Skills and Qualifications • Educational Background: A degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years in a finance or accounting role and be well versed in handling multiple accounts including construction work in progress accounts.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial software and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and numerical abilities.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ethics: High ethical standards and ability to manage confidential information.
- Ability to work on site in Tuas region of Singapore
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $3,500.00 - $5,000.00 per month
