What a SIE Associate Engineer does in HP
- Support engineers on product testing for qualification of change, quality issues and NPIs, including compilation and publishing of test result / findings
- Perform failure analysis on defective supplies return from the field or printer factory, including generate & publish failure analysis report on autopsy work done
- Monitor field performance of supplies and diagnose any abnormalities in the performance trend, including escalation of findings to engineering team to take further actions
- Develop and work on improvement projects to enhance the productivity, issue detection capability or quality of the supplies
- Compile and publish management reports on supplies quality performance
Individuals who will do well in this role usually possess:
- Diploma in Engineering or possess equivalent experience
- Experience with data mining and analysis
- Experience with solving manufacturing and engineering problems
- Demonstrate competency in using excel and powerpoint software.
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Able to work independently as well as a team player
- Good analytical skills, detail-oriented and meticulous
- Able to work under stress and multi-task
- Experience with using or developing PowerBi dashboards would be an added advantage
- Experience with programming test scripts or developing coding would be an added advantage
