Job Summary

The Social Media team is looking for a dynamic and creative individual with a passion for all things social.

The team is responsible for engaging online communities while supporting multiple business units, ranging from the hotel, events and entertainment, F&B, ArtScience Museum, and more.

The Social Media Intern (SMI) will assist the team to produce social sharable content designed around Marina Bay Sands’ experiences. This will include strategising and producing social-friendly, sharable content primarily for social media platforms – which includes ideation, storyboarding, video production, editing and photography for social media channels to increase engagement. The role may also include research and administrative tasks for communicating with internal business teams to organize shoots, meetings, presentations, etc.

Job Responsibilities

  • Work across the Social Media, Marketing and Brand teams to help the team ideate and develop captivating and shareable content for various Business Units, across multiple social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc.).
  • Support the team lead(s) with project management; admin aiding collaboration with wider departments to create social-first content and enhance campaign goals to ensure all visual content aligns with our elevated brand messaging.
  • Support with social video development from pre-production planning to post-production editing.
  • Support with executing photography shoots, from conceptualization to styling and editing.
  • Support with producing content on-the-go for live events.
  • Work closely with our in-house photography & videography team to adapt property-wide shoots for social media use.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and draw inspiration from current trends across major social media platforms (TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube, etc.) to adapt to Marina Bay Sands’ channels.

Job Requirements

Education & Certification

  • Preferably studying for a Diploma/Degree with interest in social/digital
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premier Pro would be an advantage

Experience

  • Interest/experience in SG/APAC/Global Marketing & Advertising and/or the Hospitality/F&B industry.

Other Prerequisites

  • Likes challenges, takes initiative and people-person.
  • Comfortable and have interest in photography and video shooting, editing, and creating content across social often via desktop and in-app on mobile.
  • Passion for social media with a keen interest in in pop culture and emerging social/digital trends.
  • Good at working cross-team to support the team – administration, calendar planning, etc.
  • Good project management and attention to detail.
  • Good knowledge of social media platforms and trends.
  • Flexibility to work occasional irregular hours during production days and adhere to departmental and company policies.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and willing to adapt to ever-changing trends and evolving business environment.
  • Passion for wordsmithery.
