Job Responsibilities :

  • Establish and execute design qualifications to ensure the quality and reliability of new hardware products during the development phase
  • Oversee the reliability assessment program for products in mass production
  • Collaborate with remote teams of quality professionals to ensure the quality and reliability of shipped products
  • Work with engineering teams to implement solutions that improve product quality
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance quality processes to ensure consistent and predictable outcomes
  • Continuously improve hardware quality and reliability coverage, accuracy, methodologies, processes, and turnaround times
  • Travel to local and overseas sites to support qualification and quality activities
  • Coach team members on reliability concepts, statistical analysis, and qualification execution
  • Manage third-party reliability lab personnel and activities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and lab partners to ensure successful product qualifications in line with defined milestones
  • Stay informed about new products, model predictions, and enhancements to product quality and reliability
  • Effectively collaborate with partner organizations and resolve conflicts

Pre-Requisites :

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Computer) or related discipline
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in reliability engineering
  • Expertise in Intel-based desktop, notebook, tablet products, and computer peripherals within a manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with environmental and reliability testing standards, methodologies, and tools
  • Experience in implementing or managing quality management system standards and processes
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across multiple teams
  • A team player with strong analytical and decision-making abilities
  • Experience in programming within LINUX/PC/Windows environments and a solid understanding of PC-based office automation tools is a plus
  • In-depth knowledge of system reliability, failure mechanisms, life data analysis, and quantitative accelerated life testing
  • Proficient understanding of experimental design and statistical principles
  • Integrated technical problem-solving capabilities
  • Proven leadership skills with experience in motivating and influencing stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes
  • Strong verbal communication, problem-solving skills, and the ability to deliver results in a fast-paced, challenging environment
