Purpose


Contributes to the overall success of the Human Resources function in Singapore, ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

The Analyst, Human Resources (Talent Acquisition) will work closely with the Singapore HR Talent Acquisition and HRBP team, HR Shared Services, HR COEs and key support functions. They will contribute to their success in achieving business objectives by supporting the administration and operations to build a capable workforce that will be committed to delivering Bank’s strategies and promoting Scotiabank as an employer of choice.


Accountabilities


  • Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
  • Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

  • Talent Acquisition Coordination and Support
    • Interview Coordination: Support the Talent Acquisition team to facilitate a smooth hiring process by managing mid-high volume of interview scheduling across Hiring Managers / interviewers and candidates with minimal scheduling conflicts.
    • ATS Management: Be an expert in the usage of our Applicant Tracking System (SAP SuccessFactors) by managing, maintaining, and updating the ATS with job requisitions and movements of candidate profiles.
    • Candidate and Stakeholder Management: Provide quality stakeholder and candidate experience by ensuring warm and tight follow-ups with candidates and clear communication with Hiring Managers.
    • Onboarding: Conduct New Hire Induction for contract and internship new joiners on their first week of join date to ensure new joiners are well-orientated.
    • Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the TA and HR team, including managing internal processes and trackers for job requisitions.
  • Campus Recruitment
    • Liaise with schools and the Bank on requests for internship recruitment.
    • Manage the end-to-end APAC Internship process (mostly Singapore office) including internship postings on school portals, screening, interview scheduling, and internship offer.
  • Ad-hoc Projects and HR Support
    • Be involved in any other regional projects that may require their involvement from design to implementation stage.
    • Provide additional support to the wider HR function (HR COEs and HR Shared Services) and assist with ad hoc projects and processes


Skills and Experience

  • A University degree from a recognized institution
  • At least 1 year working experience in Talent Acquisition
  • Meticulous with a keen eye for detail and is process-oriented
  • Incumbent should exhibit interest in Human Resources
  • Keen interest to develop Talent Acquisition skills as well as other HR skills – interviewing skills for junior hires, candidate and stakeholder management skills, HR processes and projects
  • Demonstrates flexibility and good organizational skills to effectively handle mid-high volume of administrative tasks and processes
