Job Summary

At Marina Bay Sands, the Project Management team has overall responsibility for the successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure of MBS Information Services projects.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop project plans for small to medium sized projects.
  • Estimate resources to support defined project plans and project goals.
  • Assign project tasks to appropriate resources and communicate expectations and accountabilities in a timely and clear fashion.
  • Define communication strategies to ensure project stakeholders are engaged and aware of project activities and dependencies.
  • Manage project implementation within the defined enterprise standards to ensure timeliness, quality and cost effectiveness, tracking schedule and budget performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Manage the project budget, scope, and schedule, identifying and documenting needed changes to the original plan and ensuring project stakeholder and steering committee buy-in for any proposed changes.
  • Identify and manage project issues and risks throughout the life of the project, developing action and contingency plans as appropriate.
  • Communicate project status and manage expectations with project stakeholders on an on-going basis.
  • Validate project deliverables against scope and quality expectations and participate in project stage-gates (including project post-mortems or wrap-ups), identifying opportunities for implementation and process improvement.

  • Leading and facilitating requirements gathering workshops and discussions with IT and various business stakeholders
  • Identify and understand business problems and document business processes.
  • Document a clear set of requirements that are complete and understood by technology resources and business stakeholders.
  • Support QA and UAT processes through validation of test planning and execution

Job Requirements

Education & Certification

  • Applicant must be a full-time matriculated student.
  • Internship should contribute to school graduation requirements.
  • Professional certification (e.g., PMP, ITIL) beneficial

Experience

  • No experience required as training will be provided

Other Prerequisites

  • Ability to effectively manage/execute multiple projects concurrently.
  • Intermediate user in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, SharePoint, etc.)
  • Familiar with ITIL processes, policies, and procedures
  • Excellent verbal and written skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, including executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
  • Flexibility to adapt to a changing environment.
  • Capability of working in an international/multi-cultural environment
