Job responsibilities:
• History taking and otoscopy for patients with hearing and balance problems.
• To do hearing assessment at SGH and Community Clinics.
• To assist audiologist in hearing testing of babies and young children.
• To do hearing aid and cochlear implant orientation after hearing aid fitting by audiologists
• To be involved in vestibular assessments.
Conduct patient related work:
• Triage patient referred for hearing aid trial.
• Communicate with patients on appointments and referrals.
• Help to troubleshoot hearing devices and assist in Hearing aid and cochlear implant clinic.
Administrative work:
• To ensure daily and weekly statistics of patients seen at the audiology clinic are maintained.
• Involve in the logistical work regarding administrative aspects of audiology such as for hearing aids, ordering and repairs, stock check, invoice verification etc. To help check on retail sales of hearing aid and cochlear implant accessories.
• To be involved in portfolio work of Hearing Centre
• To carry out any other administrative duties assigned by Manager and/or Supervisor.
Requirement:
• Diploma in Health Science, Electronics, Engineering, Biomedical or related fields.
• Training will be provided on the job.
• Certificate in Industrial Audiometry or prior experience in healthcare will be helpful.
