Community Engagement

  • Develop comprehensive strategies to engage various segments of the College’s community, including parents, alumni, students, staff, and local organisations.
  • Conduct surveys, focus groups, and meetings to understand the needs and interests of the school community.
  • Foster strong relationships with parents through regular communications,, and involvement opportunities.

Enhancing Internal Communication & Community Programmes

  • Create channels for community feedback and ensure concerns and suggestions are addressed promptly and effectively.
  • Ensure timely and accurate dissemination of information through newsletters, emails, and the school’s website.
  • Community Programmes: Develop and manage programs that encourage community participation, such as after-school clubs, parent education workshops
  • Encourage and facilitate student-led community service projects and initiatives.
  • Reporting: Regularly report on metrics such as participation rates, community feedback on engagement activities and outcomes to school leadership, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.

Digital Engagement

  • Manage the College’s online community engagement through social media platforms, ensuring active and positive interactions.
  • Organize and manage virtual events and webinars to reach a wider audience and accommodate diverse community needs.

Communications and PR

  • Ensure articulation of the schools’ desired image and position; assure consistent communication of image and position throughout the wider community and beyond.
  • Responsible for editorial direction, design, production and distribution of all communication, including development of high-quality communication & publication for parents, staff and media:
  • Through multiple communication channels (newsletters, websites, social media) promote school news and developments.
  • Coordinate media interest in the schools and ensure regular contact with target media and appropriate response to media requests.
  • Develop and execute social media strategies to promote recruitment and retention of students, and the school entity.
  • Coordinate the appearance of all print and electronic materials such as letterheads, use of logo, brochures, newsletters, etc.
  • Manage media issues and provide advice and guidance to school on appropriate actions.
  • Ensure media publications are monitored related to the school.
  • Oversee proactive and reactive crisis management strategies.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated skills, knowledge and experience in the design and execution of communication strategy
  • General understanding of branding, online and offline marketing strategies.
  • Abilities to network and develop relationships with key stakeholders i.e. agencies, partners, across functions etc.
  • Outstanding influencing skills and ability to operate in a matrix organisation.
  • Must have outstanding communication skills in English, both spoken and written. Knowledge in any other language is advantageous
  • Highly motivated with an eye for detail and quality of work; pro-active attitude and passion for achieving results.
  • Experience in content management systems and social media channels.
  • Key measures of success for the team include generation of new enquiries, new parent visits and registrations, enrolment conversion/ retention rates, building strong working relations with key stakeholders (school management, parental body).
  • Cultural sensitivity and understanding of the multicultural context in Singapore.

Qualifications:

  • Degree level qualification in marketing, communication or related field with demonstrated success in a multi-national environment in Singapore.
  • 3 years of experience in a similar role.
