Key Responsibilities:
- Sourcing & Supplier Management:
- Identify and assess potential suppliers based on factors such as quality, price, and reliability.
- Negotiate favorable terms, prices, and contracts with suppliers.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with current suppliers, while actively seeking new sourcing opportunities.
- Procurement & Purchasing:
- Oversee the complete purchasing process, including the creation and issuance of purchase orders.
- Ensure timely procurement of goods and services to meet business demands.
- Monitor inventory levels and forecast future purchasing needs based on trends in inventory and sales.
- Inventory Management:
- Collaborate with the inventory team to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize the risk of stockouts or overstock situations.
- Track order progress and resolve discrepancies or delivery delays.
- Perform regular stock audits and reconcile discrepancies as needed.
- Vendor & Price Negotiations:
- Analyze market trends, price fluctuations, and vendor performance to develop cost-effective purchasing strategies.
- Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best prices and delivery terms.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Keep accurate records of all purchase orders, receipts, and invoices.
- Generate reports on procurement activities, cost savings, and supplier performance.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Partner with finance, warehouse, and production teams to ensure efficient procurement and delivery processes.
- Address any product quality issues, returns, or warranty claims with vendors.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Bachelor's degree or diploma in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred).
- Experience: Minimum 2-3 years in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management.
- Knowledge: Solid understanding of procurement processes, vendor management, and supply chain operations.
- Skills:
- Strong negotiation and communication abilities.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
