We work collaboratively with public sector and industry partners to translate scientific discoveries arising from Singapore"s biomedical and clinical sciences R&D into innovative healthcare solutions, with a focus on Asian-prevalent diseases.
Position Summary:
We are looking for an experienced research scientist in biologics drug discovery to lead biologics projects and platform. The successful candidate will lead the planning and execution of drug discovery projects, coordinating among different scientific disciplines to implement strategic initiatives, monitor the progress of discovery projects and address any development bottleneck. The role also involves facilitating interactions with internal teams, external partners, and key stakeholders.
Project leadership:
- Lead 1-2 biologics project/platform, including scouting, nominating and driving the projects to meet key milestones
- Collaborate cross-functionally to align project resources and execution, proactive in proposing innovative solutions in the development of biologics therapeutics.
- Plan and execute complex research experiments on a need basis.
- Apply biologics technologies to enhance project innovation and efficiency.
- Partner with external academic and industry collaborations to advance new partnership opportunity.
Function innovation and continuous improvement:
- Active contribution to the function group by offering technical expertise in biologics drug discovery and development.
- Identify and evaluate new process improvement, technologies and approaches and effectively apply to project.
Job Requirements:
- PhD in in pharmaceutical sciences and related biomedical disciplines.
- A minimum of 5 years relevant postdoctoral or pharmaceutical industry experience with a strong focus on biologics drug discovery.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple parallel projects.
- Demonstrated capacity to conceptualise, strategise and execute research plans.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to interpret and explain complex data.
- Self-motivated, fast learner with strong organization skills.
- Good interpersonal skills, team-orientated with strong collaborative spirit in building relationships internally and externally.
