The successful candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing our elementary school's instructional quality and supporting our teachers' professional growth. Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with K-5 teachers to implement curriculum effectively and improve instructional practices
  • Assist teachers with daily lesson planning and creation of instructional materials
  • Provide guidance and support on effective lesson presentation techniques
  • Help teachers with student assessments and data collection
  • Model exemplary teaching practices through demonstration lessons
  • Facilitate professional development sessions for elementary school staff
  • Analyze student performance data to inform instructional decisions
  • Support teachers in differentiating instruction to meet diverse student needs
  • Foster a positive and collaborative learning environment within the elementary school
  • Maintain open communication with the ES Principal and Director of Teaching and Learning regarding instructional progress and challenges

Other Responsibilities:

  • Participate in school community activities
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned
  • Ability to lift and carry textbooks and instructional materials
  • Capable of navigating school premises, included walking up and down stairs

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (minimum). Master's degree in Education, Curriculum and Instruction, or related field preferred
  • Minimum 4 years of classroom teaching experience at the elementary level
  • Experience in Standards Based Learning and Assessment preferred
  • Strong knowledge of elementary curriculum and best instructional practices
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities and mentoring skills
  • Proficiency in data analysis and its application to instruction
  • Experience with various assessment methods and data management systems
