The Customer Analytics, Reporting and BI team manages data projects, data pipeline and data analytics to maximize the potential of data, uncovering valuable business insights for Group Customer and Digital Division. Leveraging advanced data analytics and visualization, the team enables senior stakeholder to interpret the story behind the number, driving more informed strategies and initiatives.
The Senior Analyst (Data Analytics & Visualisation) plays a pivotal role in managing and enhancing the data analytics assets, which are used to monitor business performance, identify business opportunity and enable data-driven business decision. This role collaborates closely with key stakeholders across multiple departments to apply advanced analytics to generate value-creating insights from big data. The ideal candidate is passionate about creating business impact by using their data expertise and industry experience.
The Job
· Design, build and enhance data analytics assets to ensure relevance and continued usage of the analytics and business intelligence by business users for making informed decisions.
· Support the build of contextual data marts to advance the scalability and reusability of visual and advanced analytics assets.
· Collaborate with business and Group Data independently to manage the entire dashboard development cycle - from gathering and proposing business requirement, designing dataflow and data structure, to developing dashboard and managing the schedule of release.
· Support ad-hoc data analytics and periodic reporting requests.
· Takes accountability in considering business and regulatory compliance risks and takes appropriate steps to mitigate the risks.
· Maintains awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats and technologies in order to understand the risk and better safeguard the company.
· Highlights any potential concerns /risks and proactively shares best risk management practices.
Our Requirements
· BS in Business Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Actuarial Science or equivalent disciplines that focuses on extensive use of data for analysis.
· At least 5 years of experience in managing and delivering multiple requirements for business intelligence and analytics as an individual contributor.
· Proficient in traditional and modern data programming language (e.g. Phyton, SQL, Hive, and PySpark) and data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau).
· Practical knowledge of big data ETL framework and experience dealing with complex data structure.
· Strong business acumen and communication skill; able to bridge the communication between technical and business domains.
· A problem-solver, initiative-taker who can work independently and responsibly with minimal supervision.
· Ability to manage and prioritize requests and tasks while being goal-oriented
· Experience in performing/interpretating advanced analytics (e.g. Statistical or ML-based) is a plus.
· Experience in insurance or financial services industry is a plus.
· High level of integrity, takes accountability of work and good attitude over teamwork.
· Takes initiative to improve current state of things and adaptable to embrace new changes.
