- Collaborate with business leaders and legal teams to provide ongoing legal support and advice on various legal matters.
- Offer general corporate legal and regulatory guidance in areas such as financing, banking, leases, Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A), and intellectual property, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., sanctions, data protection, anti-competition).
- Draft essential documents, including Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) and Joint Venture (JV) contracts.
- Provide legal counsel on a variety of issues related to contracts and agreements in the marine and offshore industries.
- Review and advise on commercial transactions, providing necessary support.
- Manage litigation matters and coordinate with external counsel while overseeing their associated costs.
- Conduct legal research and analysis regarding potential litigation to develop the company’s legal strategy.
- Evaluate the risks and likelihood of success in litigation proceedings.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law or an equivalent qualification from a recognized university.
- 3 to 5 years of Post Qualified Experience (PQE).
- Experience in civil and commercial litigation and contract drafting.
- Preferred experience in commercial law, either in a law firm or as in-house legal counsel.
- Knowledge of construction law, international trade, or intellectual property is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of domestic and cross-border/regional dispute resolution litigation.
