Responsbilities
Ensure the integrity, scalability, and security of the global platform, while driving its evolution to meet the growing needs of both Group IT and the business aligned with Symrise's digital and corporate strategies.
In this interdisciplinary role at the interface to the business, you will – in addition to day-to-day operational tasks – evaluate new integrated features to provide recommendations to senior IT stakeholders that further evolve the platform. Your role will be embedded within the organization to ensure strategic alignment, provide technical expertise, and facilitate seamless collaboration with IT teams, business stakeholders, and external partners and vendors.
- Responsible for the overall architecture, design, implementation and maintenance of the platform, including interfaces with other IS components or client/server APIs with on-prem/cloud solutions, such as LDAP, SAP or legacy applications
- Overall responsible for application security and platform related audits
- Drive the continuous improvement of processes and/or technology, considering technical debt and prioritizing occurring incidents or problems
- Manage projects for regular platform upgrades and features implementation (configuration, scripting, reporting) as well as troubleshooting in close collaboration with the platform owner and relevant stakeholders
- Define and foster the adoption of best practices in architecture, methodology, coding, testing and development operations among relevant stakeholders
- Ensure internal platform maintenance across its entire lifecycle (development, maintenance, support) and work with external partners as appropriate
About you
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent technical qualification in a related field
- ServiceNow Administrator or Developer Certification; Technical Architect Certification is advantageous
- At least 3 years of relevant experience working with the ServiceNow platform, including architecture, design, and development
- Familiarity with IT service management principles, processes, and best practices
- Proven knowledge of Agile project management methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban
- Strong communication, presentation and influencing skills at all levels of the organization
- Interdisciplinary mindset with the proven ability to translate business requirements into technical design
- Fluency in written and spoken English
