The clien is the world’s leading oilfield services provider which specialized in the manufacturing of electrical submergible pumps for the oil and gas industry.
Position: Manufacturing Technician (12 months contract)
Working Hours: Normal office hours; 730am-445pm (eligible for OT)
Working Place: West Singapore
Job Summary:
The Manufacturing Technician performs all technical duties in one of the functional areas: electronic, mechanical, or systems. Completes tests, measurements, operations or process controls. Conducts troubleshooting to diagnose product, process, or program defects and repair them.
Responsibilities:
- Perform technical duties on all functional work group projects; employ test technique/procedures for all key cell projects.
- Skilled with electronics, hydraulics and/or mechanical assemblies, automated machine operation and/or programming.
- Ability to: blueprint reading; component identification; wire-preparation, stripping, and crimping; harness repair and termination; use of all pertinent manual hand tools.
- Perform basic wire or electronic part soldering.
- Perform assembly of products according to established specifications, engineering drawings or standard work instructions.
- Use of production work orders, routings, quality travellers, and bill of materials.
- Develop assembly and test procedures to promote production of quality products.
- Conduct product performance testing and record the results.
- Perform cleaning of all parts as per established cleaning procedures.
- Perform final checks for any defects to ensure high quality products.
- Perform installation, repair, inspection, reassembly, replacing, refitting, and adjusting products as required.
- Maintain production tools and equipment.
- Monitor the functionality of all equipment and report any problems or substandard conditions to the supervisor.
- Develop preventive maintenance procedures to avoid any breakdowns and failures.
- To maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment and ensure the compliance with the company's rules and policies.
Requirements:
- Diploma in Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in electronics/ mechanical assemblies.
- Ability to: blueprint reading; component identification; basic wire or electronic part soldering.
