RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for project planning and coordination processes of naval customers assigned
- Possess good reporting, documentation and postmortem skills to top management and naval customers
- Good leadership skills and team player to manage a team of project engineers and engagement with cross functional teams (i.e. supply chain, finance, top management)
- Strong ability to communicate, develop and maintain strong customer relationship and satisfaction with naval clients on all levels
- Manage contract execution and milestones, with skill sets to develop project management plan and risk management
- Sound engineering knowledge of naval navigation and combat systems integration
- Possess strong knowledge in compliance with design specifications, regulatory requirements and export control procedures
- Possess skills in problem solving of technical issues arising during project execution phase
- Collaborate closely with sales, service and project teams in Singapore and Germany to facilitate project execution and customer support
- Participate with naval sales team for technical clarifications based on customer specifications in tenders as well as in close cooperation with cost controller or CFO on margin allocations
- Ability to analyse customer demands, and provide solutions in consultation with naval sales or top management or even quick on the spot decision
REQUIREMENTS:
- Degree in engineering, or equivalent
- Professional certification PMP is preferred but not a must.
- Strong knowledge of integrated navigation systems, navigation sensors, platform management, and maritime surveillance systems
- At least 3-5 years of relevant project management experience (preferably in naval defense and/or maritime industry; Ex-navy personnel added advantage)
- Proven track records in managing projects with regional navies or paramilitaries
