JR67120 Materials SpecialistResponsibilitiesStock, Maintain, and Deliver Warehouse Inventory
-Operate motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment (Manual/Electric Pallet jacks, forklifts, delivery vehicles, etc
-Label and stock material according to First In / First Out (FIFO) rotation requirements
-Process material requisitions
-Audit inventory based on cycle count documentation and communicate results
-Ensure timely deliveries of identified shipments to internal customers or designated customer pickup locations
-Administer Inventory Control FunctionsPerform regular Cycle counts according to Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements
-Reconcile Cycle count discrepancies
-Investigate and resolve systematic reasons for inventory inaccuracies
-Upload photos and create storage bin locations for new parts and materials
-Maintain part and material information using Inventory Management software (i.e. Material Master, SAP)
-Work with procurement to process and scrap damaged parts
-Create, maintain, and monitor various types of Bin locations
-Process Returns to Stock as consigned and owned materials
-Schedule and conduct supplier compliance audits
-Assist with ISO and Quality audits
-Assist Finance with Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) compliance auditsPrepare and Ensure Timely Deliveries of Identified Shipments to Internal and External Customers
-Perform Site-to-Site Part transfers
-Package, process, and label all outgoing shipments.
-Create and process shipping documents in appropriate shipping software applications
-Maintain shipping documentation according to record retention procedures
-Evaluate freight options to ensure lowest cost shipping methods
-Ship materials to meet expected on dock delivery datesLead or Participate in Area Projects and Improvement Efforts
-Lead or assist in the implementation of new procedures and policies
-Identify and recommend changes to process flows and influence continuous improvement
-Identify area problems and recommend solutions
-Lead or assist in efforts for process and quality improvement, cost reduction, cost avoidance, and cost containment
-Actively engage and participate in lean initiatives (i.e. 6S, TPM, CIP)
Lead or assist in area auditing
-Engage in area and department meetings
-Communicate ideas, concerns, and issues to supervisorMaintain Experience and Provide Consultation
-Maintain and continuously improve knowledge of Materials processes
-Mentor other team members or customer groups in Materials procedures and processes
-Serve as a point of contact for internal customers and buyers
-Communicate information requests through phone calls, e-mail, and applicable systemsPromote a Safe Working Environment
-Access and adhere to area Safety and environmental procedures to ensure compliance with applicable regulations
-Serve as an active participant in Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security programs by reporting all related concerns or problems immediately
-Handle materials by applying ergonomic techniques
-Process chemicals according to company and local Governmental requirements
-Be proactive in preventing incidents of personal injuries, safety hazards or environmental releases
