Job Description
Responsible for maintaining current sources and generating new sources of scrap metals from the local market
Maintain good business contacts and favorable relations with current customers (scrap dealers and industrial suppliers)
Gather appropriate information about the local market for scrap metal concerning cost trends and availability of supply
Visit customer sites for material viewing, provide quotations etc.
Prepare Monthly Sales Report, monitor tonnages, pricing etc.
Any other duties as assigned

Strong cold calling skills
Strong follow-up skills
Excellent oral communication skills. Able to communicate at all levels of the organization verbally and written
Able to speak different dialects (in order to maintain good business contacts and favourable relations with current dialects speaking customers (scrap dealers and industrial suppliers)
Possess own transport
Candidate must possess at least a Nitec in Business Administration/Customer Service/Diploma in sales or marketing or the equivalent in related work experience
Demonstrate buying experience in scrap recycling or metal related industry
Minimum 2 years of new business development sales experience required
Working hours
Mon to Fri – 8.30am to 5.30pm (5 days work week)
