Job Responsibilities:

Assist in ensuring costumes meet performance standards and are prepared according to schedule
Construct, alter, embellish, and repair costumes and costume-related items, with a focus on integrating animatronic and robotic elements (Install, maintain, troubleshoot)
Supervise team in repair and fabrication works, including the use of materials, methods of construction, and the necessary time for building complex costumes with animatronic features
Collaborate with vendors to repair costumes to meet schedules (non-animatronics/animatronics) when needed
Provide work schedules to the team to ensure timely completion of tasks
Assist in coordinating the production of costumes with designers, external vendors, hair and makeup, and the workroom, particularly for projects requiring animatronic or robotic expertise
Communicate with various show experience team members to support fittings and design planning for daily operations and special events, ensuring all technical requirements are met
Monitor and maintain costume workshop supplies, with an emphasis on materials needed for electrical and robotic costume components
Conduct training sessions for team members on the safe use and maintenance of animatronic and robotic technologies

Job Requirements:

Diploma or equivalent with 4-5 years of related experience in theatrical, film, television, resort, or theme park industries, with a focus on animatronics and robotics
Without Diploma or equivalent: 6-7 years of related experience in the same industries, emphasizing expertise in animatronics and electrical systems
Thorough understanding of backstage etiquette and the ability to teach others, especially in the context of technical costume components
Skilled in painting and carpentry techniques
Experience in designing, fabricating, and integrating animatronic and robotic elements into costumes and props
Familiar with safety protocols related to electrical and mechanical systems in a theatrical environment
