We are seeking candidates for the position of Insurance Solutions Director based in our Hong Kong office.

As an Insurance Solutions Director, you will develop, support, and sell Mercer’s market-leading suite of investment tools, serving clients who subscribe to these data and software services, as well as the consultants who rely on our intellectual capital to provide strategic investment advice. This role is a recognized subject matter expert and a senior individual contributor who manages large-scale projects, coaches team members, and solves complex problems.

We will count on you to:

  • Partner with regional consulting and sales leaders to grow our business in Asia (including Japan), working with an entrepreneurial team and leveraging our strong global brand recognition.
  • Drive growth in a key strategic segment for Mercer and Marsh McLennan by delivering customized insurance solutions that utilize the full breadth of Mercer’s capabilities.
  • Support consultants and regional sales leaders in closing deals with insurance companies through deep and targeted insurance knowledge.
  • Successfully deliver complex investment solutions and products to insurance companies, ensuring alignment with their specific investment and reporting requirements.
  • Maintain solid working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders, adapting communication styles to different audiences.

What you need to have:

  • Solid commercial acumen with a proven track record of growing assets under management in the insurance industry.
  • Extensive understanding of the asset management industry, including trends, products, solutions, and services for the insurance segment.
  • Deep knowledge of the Asian markets and ideally international insurance markets, with a background in the insurance industry preferred.
  • Familiarity with regional regulatory requirements and Solvency II standards.
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a leadership team.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with strong English proficiency; Cantonese/Mandarin or another Asian language is preferred.
  • A bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, mathematics, or a related business field; CFA, MBA, Master’s degree, and/or actuarial qualifications are preferred.
