We are currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team in the role of a Trainee/Junior SNP Shipbroker based in our Singapore Office.

As a Trainee/Junior SNP Shipbroker, your key responsibilities will be:

  • You will start of supporting day-to-day activities of the Broker(s) and increase your knowledge and capabilities build
  • Collecting and coordinating the information flow and reports as well as gathering market intelligence
  • Establishing relationships, existing and new, develop business leads to conclude vessel sale & purchase transactions

Qualities required for this role:

  • An education degree ideally majoring in Maritime, Shipping or Engineering, but this is not essential for someone with prior experience in the industry
  • Basic knowledge of shipping will be an advantage, prior experience in chartering/SNP will be a bonus
  • Member of Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers is an advantage
  • Confident and able to handle pressure
  • Self-disciplined, pro-active & competitive
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Mature and trustworthy
  • Demonstrate commitment & dedication
  • For Singapore/Permanent Residents only

Setting the expectations:

  • The job will require work outside of normal hours since the shipping market never sleeps
  • A large degree of responsibility and trust will be placed in you so you will have to be self-driven and hungry
  • In return, you shall be compensated/rewarded adequately
