This is a 2-year contract position as a Lecturer in the School of Design & Environment.

[What you will be working on]

Academic duties

• Develop and improve the content of modules you are assigned to teach and deliver
• Be competent to conduct teaching and delivery of modules in classroom and online setting
• Set and conduct assessments for the modules you are assigned
• Lead in the integration of modules content, teaching and delivery to achieve the course objectives
• Initiate and experiment with new pedagogies or learning technologies to enhance curriculum delivery
  
  
  

Non Academic duties

• Administrative and other duties to support the management of the school, diploma and modules
• Duties and responsibilities that may arises to support curriculum development and currency
• Solve operational problems to ensure efficiency and effectiveness
• Supervise junior team members to ensure smooth operations has context menu
  
  
  

[What we are looking for]

At least 5-7 years of demonstrated experience in the areas of Project and Facilities Management as well as Building Services, Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering

Applicants must have strong communication skills and have an inherent passion to teach students in both physical classrooms and online learning environment.

Candidate should be competent to plan, develop and teach at least three of the following areas:

• Building Services Engineering
• Electrical Facilities
• Facilities Management
• Fire Safety Management
• Project Management
• Mechanical Facilities
  
  
  

Besides teaching full time diploma students, the lecturer may also be required to teach some modules in Part-Time Diploma/short courses to learners who are working adults and conducted in the evenings from 6pm – 10pm.
