ALG is hiring an Aviation Sales Manager for our Aerospace client to drive business development and sales initiatives for an extensive portfolio of aftermarket services within the assigned region. This role focuses on building new business relationships, gathering market intelligence, supporting key customer accounts, and developing strategic proposals to drive aftermarket sales growth. The Aftermarket Sales Manager will act as the primary liaison between customers and the company’s support teams, collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet business targets in Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) and supply chain operations.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead aftermarket business development and revenue growth initiatives for the full range of company aftermarket services.
- Serve as the main point of contact for customers for aftermarket sales-related opportunities.
- Support regional sales growth by managing data and sales initiatives in Salesforce.
- Assist customers with identifying necessary parts and accessories.
- Actively identify cross-selling and up-selling opportunities for aftermarket products and services.
- Develop and implement regional marketing and sales strategies in collaboration with the Marketing team to boost customer awareness and drive financial goals.
- Build and maintain customer relationships while creating new revenue streams for sales growth.
- Drive the strategic development of sales proposals, working closely with Contracts, Finance, and Legal teams to ensure compliance.
- Collaborate with Supply Centers, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Engineering teams to ensure timely product delivery and issue resolution.
- Provide recommendations for service improvements based on market research and competitive benchmarking.
- Regularly report sales and forecast data to the Director of Aftermarket Sales, assisting with budgeting and long-term planning.
- Assist with Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) activities as required.
- Attend industry tradeshows and MRO conferences as directed by management.
- Coordinate with aircraft Regional Sales Managers to ensure unified communication to customers.
- Develop strategic sales plans for both immediate and future opportunities within the region.
- Foster positive relationships between customers and the company’s service network.
- Travel required up to 35-45% of the time.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; 10+ years of aircraft maintenance or supervisory experience may be considered in place of a degree.
- 4-year degree in business, sales, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of professional experience in aviation maintenance, sales, customer support, or related fields.
- Extensive background in Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) for commercial helicopters.
- Strong customer advocacy skills to exceed expectations and foster customer success.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage a multicultural customer base.
- Proficiency in English and local languages as required.
- Familiarity with Salesforce is an advantage.
- Experience with rotorcraft maintenance.
- Technical knowledge of rotorcraft systems.
- A&P or pilot license is a plus.
