We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Shipping Disputes Paralegal to join the Singapore office of a boutique UK law firm, specialising in the Maritime and Commodities sector. Working alongside experienced lawyers on complex international shipping and maritime disputes, this role offers hands-on experience in a dynamic environment and is ideal for candidates who thrive on challenging cases within supportive team.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting lawyers with case management, including document review, legal research, and court and arbitration filings preparation.
- Assisting in drafting and proofreading legal documents and correspondence related to shipping disputes.
- Coordinating with external experts, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth communication and timely progression of cases.
- Maintaining and organizing case files, including evidence, correspondence, and other critical case documents.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Law or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of paralegal experience, preferably within the shipping, maritime, or insurance sectors. Experience in handling shipping insurance claims or working with a law firm’s shipping or insurance department is highly advantageous.
Skills:
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail, especially when handling extensive documentation.
