Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst specialized in market risk and ALM in the banking sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for analysing business requirements, developing data-driven solutions to support risk management and reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of banking operations, financial concepts, and data analysis techniques.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and develop end-to-end processes of market risk and ALM system.
- Extract and analyse financial data from various sources (e.g., core banking, accounting, risk management).
- Develop and maintain databases, data visualizations, and reports using tools like SQL and Power BI.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes.
- Develop and execute testing plans to ensure reporting outputs are complete and accurate.
- Develop and maintain documentation of data processes and procedures.
- Provide ad-hoc analysis and support for special projects and on-going requests.
- Provide training and support for end-users.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Banking, Financial Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in market risk management, risk reporting, data analysis, and business analysis in the banking sector.
- Strong understanding of market risk and ALM concepts (FRTB, VaR, stress testing, sensitivity, MCO, LCR, NSFR, IRRBB, etc.) and financial products (derivatives, bonds, equities, etc.).
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python, Power BI).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Nice to Have
- Certification in risk management (e.g., FRM) or financial analysis (e.g., CFA).
- Experience with banking systems and software (e.g., Temenos).
- Familiarity with data warehousing and ETL processes.
- Understanding of machine learning and predictive analytics concepts.
