  • Solid understanding of SDLC and testing methodologies;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess software functionality;
  • Meticulous attention to detail for identifying even minor defects;
  • Effective verbal and written communication for seamless collaboration with team members and stakeholders.

Desired Skill-set

  • Background in specific sectors (such as finance, healthcare, or retail);
  • SQL and scripting knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Design and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases based on requirements and specifications;
  • Conduct manual testing on software applications to identify defects and ensure adherence to quality standards;
  • Document, track, and report defects using test management tools, working closely with the development team to resolve issues;
  • Create and maintain detailed test documentation, including test cases, scripts, and reports;
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to fully understand requirements and ensure thorough testing coverage;
  • Perform regression testing to confirm that new code changes do not impact existing functionalities;
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by preparing test environments and assisting end-users during testing phases;
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance the overall efficiency and effectiveness of testing activities.
