Job Overview:

We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Safety Consultant to join our team. In this role, you will provide expert guidance on workplace safety, conduct risk assessments, and support organizations in implementing effective health and safety practices. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of safety regulations and a passion for creating safer work environments You will work closely with clients to design, execute, and monitor safety programs that meet both legal standards and operational goals for local and international projects..

Key Responsibilities:

  • On-Site Client Support: Serve as an embedded safety consultant on client premises or projects, providing hands-on guidance and support to ensure adherence to safety standards and certifications
  • Certification Support: Guide clients through the bizSAFE and ISO certification processes and assist with documentation, audit preparation, and training
  • Risk Assessment & Analysis: Conduct thorough risk assessments, Job Hazard Analyses (JHA), and hazard identifications, delivering actionable recommendations for both local and international projects
  • Safety Program Development: Develop and implement site-specific safety management programs, policies, and protocols that align with bizSAFE and ISO standards, tailored to unique project requirements
  • Training & Workshops: Develop and facilitate client-site training sessions and workshops focused on bizSAFE and ISO standards, safety awareness, and certification-focused competencies
  • Audit & Inspection Preparation: Conduct regular audits, inspections, and pre-certification assessments to prepare clients for third-party audits and certification renewals, ensuring compliance on-site
  • Documentation & Reporting: Prepare detailed site-specific reports, safety manuals, and documentation

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Safety Consultant, ideally with exposure to on-site client support and international project
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally for on-site support assignments
