What you will be doing:
- Attend site meetings and site walks with Owner, consultant and contractors.
- Conduct inspection and keep records for QA/QC. Including EHS matters.
- Administer the Hospital’s safety procedures and conduct periodic inspection on the provision of safety measures together with the Contractor’s site safety supervisor or representatives to ensure that the Contractor complies with the safety requirements.
- Generate “Site Observation Reports” to record findings and close out. Keep Register for easy tracking and reporting.
- Monitor project progress schedules and qualities standards, track Main Contractor’s program and report delay and/or work not start on planned start date.
- Issue Site Memo on the standard form and are to be copied to the Consultant/Owner.
- Report all unauthorized works carry out by the Main Contractor or any subcontractors immediately to Consultant/Owner including work carry out without approved drawings, Permit, PTW and or WMS.
- Inspect and monitor quality of materials delivered to site.
- Check all drawings (including working drawings, shop drawings, authority submission drawings and as-built drawings.
- Check and verify all work conform to drawings, specifications and instructions.
- Check and verify materials and workmanship conform to drawings and specifications.
- Ensure all installations are in accordance with the Tender Specification/Working/Shop Drawings and applicable local Codes, Regulation and Standards.
- Submit daily reports to the following day.
- Submit weekly reports every Monday.
- Keep and maintain QP attendance register.
- Keep and maintain BCA and all other authorities approved drawings, permit, NOA and the like at site office for easy verification.
- Keep and maintain all documents, drawings and/or permit issued by the Consultant/Owner. Keep a Register to ensure documents are latest and updated.
- Immediately notify Consultant/Owner any difficulties arising, decision required, variations required.
- Verify contractor’s progress claim.
- Conduct off-site testing and/or inspection in Contractor’s/Sub-Contractor’s/Supplier’s workshops, as directed by the Consultant/Owner.
- Check and report discrepancies found in drawings and/or specifications to the Consultant/Owner.
- Supervise tests or techniques specified in Contract or required Consultant/Owner.
- Check and verify dayworks sheets submitted the main contractor and keep copy for record.
- Report on site safety and housekeeping.
- Conduct site inspection for Phase completion and handling over purposes. Compile Defect List.
- Witness on all necessary testing at site.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
You are:
- Possess at least Degree/Diploma/Trade Certificate in Mechanical/Electrical/Building Services Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as RTO on local projects. Retrofit of ACMV system experience would be added advantage.
- Familiar with local codes and regulations.
- Registered Resident Technical Officer (RTO) with IES/ACES
- TDAP and MMR vaccination is compulsory before start of work
