  • Responsible for working with Project Lead/Assistant Lead in strategizing, creating and implementing processes and systems to integrate various kinds of project planning activities into comprehensive overall plans (e.g. manpower allocation) for the entire company’s Project work force.
  • Integrate and align all planning activities into comprehensive plans for the execution of works at all sites, including working closely with Projects, Safety and Quality Leads. To bring all parties (Project, Safety and Quality) together to formalize the execution plan prior to start of work for all Project and Maintenance/Facilities jobs.
  • Primary key personnel for the coordination and prioritization of all manpower planning (Chairperson for the Weekly Planning Meeting), to sit down to highlight any issues and strategize company’s overall manpower requirement with various departmental Leads on a Monthly basis.
  • Take lead responsibility for coordination of the overall manpower plan (including overall overtime controls) for the Projects Teams on a daily basis.
  • Primary Key personnel to be accountable for the company’s Productivity Index

  • To work closely with the Project department to plan and allocate workers for supply when required by clients. To liaise and coordinate with the Project Department to ensure seamless operations (e.g. safety and logistical requirement) and handover when dealing with Supply of workers to respective clients.
  • Primary key personnel to prioritize, plan and allocate manpower for all urgent works required at all sites after discussion with Project Team, this will include ALL shutdown works at all sites. For shutdown works at respective plants, to coordinate and work closely with Project Team to ensure a Master shutdown Plan is created by Project Team, updated, monitored and shared with all departments.
  • Work closely with Safety & Project department to ensure all safety & logistical equipment, safety procedures (such as MS and RAs) are available and up to date prior to execution on sites.
  • Work closely with QA/QC/Documentation & Project department to ensure all work procedures such as Quality Plan, Inspection Criteria, Welder’s log, etc. are available and up to date prior to execution on sites.
  • Work closely with QA/QC/Documentation to ensure database of all inventories are kept up to date and available when required.
  • To work closely with the respective departments and be the focal point to ensure resolution with clients on all Project/QA/QC/Drafting/Safety issues that arise during the course of projects execution.
  • Work closely and conduct weekly progress meetings with Project Team to monitor and get updates on the progress of all projects on the outstanding project list. To set respective targets and ensure Project Team understand and work towards these targets.
  • Primary key personnel to recommend additional or reduction of head count to improve cost efficiency basing on 1-month Look Ahead, feed backs, request and input from all Departmental Leads.
  • Focal point for all subcontractors and external suppliers/vendors. To work very closely with Project Team to qualify and approve new subcontractors/vendors/suppliers before execution of jobs.
  • Coordinate personnel training portfolios and to work closely with Project Team, QA/QC/Drafting Team, HR and Safety to schedule all worker’s safety training courses such as: SICs (both internal and external), CSOC and other courses to ensure all workers are equipped with the necessary training before going on site.
  • Focal point between Projects and HR departments when there is a need to release workers for:

- Medical checkup

- MOM thumb print

- Training Course

- Vaccination

- Bank Transaction

- Passport Renewal

  • Work closely with Project, QA/QC and Safety Leads so that they can prepare budgets for workshop, safety and project consumables.

Requirement

Ø Bachelor’s degree in business, Operations Management, Mechanical Engineering or in a related discipline.

Ø Proven work experience as an Engineering Manager in Process Industries.

Ø Knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management

Ø Experience budgeting and forecasting
