Mandai Wildlife Group is the steward of Mandai Wildlife Reserve, a unique wildlife and nature destination in Singapore that is home to world-renown wildlife parks which connect visitors to the fascinating world of wildlife. The Group is driving an exciting rejuvenation plan at Mandai Wildlife Reserve, adjacent to Singapore’s Central Catchment Nature Reserve, that will integrate five wildlife parks with distinctive nature-based experiences, green public spaces and an eco-friendly resort.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

1. Animal Care and Welfare

  • Organise and coordinate the daily workload and ensure all animals are cared for to the highest possible standards of captive animal care and welfare.
  • Oversee/Coordinate/Manage animal introductions, internal translocations and prepare for external translocations.
  • Responsible for the care and well-being of animals through proper food preparation and feeding regime, as well as animal husbandry.
  • Engage guests and visitors (e.g., guest interaction sessions, animal programs, guided tours and feeding sessions etc).
  • Housekeeping (staff rest area)
  • Oversee/Coordinate/Manage reproduction, neonate care and breeding programmes within the section.
  • Work closely with the Veterinary Services in providing a high standard of healthcare for the animals.
  • Participate and assist in the implementation of a behavioural husbandry programme for assigned species.
  • Keep records and make recommendations on staff training and development.

2. Daily Operations

  • Assist the curatorial team in ensuring smooth running of the section and all its activities.
  • Ensure that the section's records meet standard, and that the daily occurrences are circulated/communicated in a timely manner and through the correct channels/procedures.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with all MWG policies and practices within the section's daily operatoins.
  • Responsible for rostering and roster implementation.
  • Responsible for inspection of safety equipment.
  • Managing and training staff as required under the guidance of the curator.
  • Assist the Curatorial team in supervising projects being underatken within the section (e.g. new exhibits, upgrading of existing areas).

3. Other relevant duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 'O' levels or Diploma holders (preferably in Life Sciences)
  • Confident, outgoing personality and a team player
  • Willing to work on Saturdays/Sundays/Public Holidays
