Job scope:
Assist the Facilities Manager to manage day-to-day operations in the overall management and maintenance of assigned government facilities
Ensuring all building services and systems are functioning effectively and efficiently
Coordinating with contractors and vendors to deliver planned and reactive maintenance
Monitoring budgets and reporting on expenditures
Implementing health and safety policies and procedures
Responding to and resolving tenant queries and concerns in a timely manner
Conducting regular inspections and providing recommendations for improvements
Supporting the implementation of sustainability initiatives
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of experience in a facilities management or building operations role, preferably within the public sector
Strong knowledge of building maintenance, plant and equipment operations
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with stakeholders at all levels
Proficient in using computerized maintenance management systems
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Flexibility to work outside standard office hours as required
Relevant qualifications in Facilities Management, Building Services Engineering or a related field would be an advantage
