Guided by ABCD, City Sprouts adaptively reuse spaces that are nestled in heartlands or near residential districts. Our flagship farm at Henderson was the former Henderson Secondary School; Sky Sprouts was an underutilized rooftop space; Punggol sheltered structures showcases green roofs and upcycled shipping containers, City Sprouts @ West Coast will be located within West Coast Park, and our Pasir Ris hub will be developed in a mature estate within the former Loyang Primary School.
Role Overview:
Would you like to work in an urban farm and run programmes around different facets of sustainability? City Sprouts is looking for a passionate and dedicated person to join us as Program Coordinator to plan, execute and run educational, fun, enriching programs such as tours, workshops, courses and events.
A good Programme Coordinator will be able to:
- Oversee a programme from set up to execution
- Able to adapt and deliver programmes to a wide range of target audiences (eg. Deliver an engaging 60 mins tour)
- Excited to meet new people and share about City Sprouts
- Enjoy being in the outdoors and have an interest in all things nature
- Possess good communication and organisational skills, able to work in a team
Job Description:
- Deliver engaging programmers catered to all ages
- Oversee coordination and implementation of on-site and off-site activations e.g. scheduling of programs, provide logistical support, liaison and relationship management with clients and vendors or stakeholders involved in the execution of programs.
- Any other ad hoc duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Comfortable and outgoing with great interpersonal skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills, a client-centric mind with good written and verbal communication skills
- Strong track record and experience in working with groups of people in the community setting and not afraid to go hands-on
- Good working knowledge of and experience with developing and implementing procedures and systems
- Able to adapt to situations quickly
- Open to working on day(s) that fall on weekends if required.
- Able to start work in short notice will be preferred.
