Roles & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation & Commissioning: Install, configure, and commission environmental testing equipment such as climate chambers, temperature control systems, and other specialized Weiss Technik products at customer sites.
- Maintenance & Repair: Perform routine preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair work on Weiss Technik equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Calibration Evaluation: Perform calibration on Weiss Technik products according to ISO requirements.
- Technical Support: Provide on-site and remote technical support to clients, diagnosing issues and offering solutions to operational challenges.
- Customer Training: Conduct technical training sessions for clients to ensure correct operation and maintenance of Weiss Technik products.
- Documentation & Reporting: Accurately document all service activities, including installations, repairs, and maintenance, ensuring that service reports are submitted in a timely manner.
- Management Tools Management: To maintain and manage all tools, test equipment, parts, and assets.
- Product Testing & Validation: Assist with testing equipment functionality and performance to meet required specifications, as well as validate system installations.
- Spare Parts Management: Coordinate with the spare parts team to ensure availability of critical components for repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Compliance & Safety: Adhere to company and regulatory safety standards during installation, maintenance, and repair work.
- Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with Weiss Technik's latest products and industry trends to enhance service delivery.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics Engineering (or related field) with HVAC certification is a plus.
- At least 1-3 years of relevant experience in equipment installation, maintenance, or repair, preferably in the environmental simulation or testing industry.
- Strong technical knowledge in electrical systems, refrigeration technology, and mechanical processes.
- IT competency in Outlook, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive and Microsoft Office 365, especially Excel.
- Familiarity with PLCs and control systems is a plus.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail, inquisitive mindset, ability to analyse data and solve complex problems.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with customers and collaboration with internal teams.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple service tasks.
- Willingness to travel locally to customer sites.
- Posses Class 3 license - own car is an added advantage
