We are looking for a passionate individual to join us in building Singapore's R&D capabilities in Precision Health and Biodata, covering areas such as precision medicine, digital health, infectious diseases, population health and biodata management.
You will have the exciting opportunity to contribute to driving new frontiers of scientific development, providing thought leadership, and creating a Singapore ecosystem conducive for new investments and growth. You will work closely with A*STAR research units, as well as other public sector agencies, universities, hospitals and industry players, to develop and implement R&D strategies, build cutting-edge research programmes, and bring them to clinical and industrial translation or to the service of national good.
You should have a strong drive and impact-oriented mindset to ensure investments in R&D activities deliver good economic, health and societal outcomes for Singapore.
Responsibilities:
Work closely with research community and key opinion leaders to develop plans to build relevant R&D capabilities and infrastructure that would catalyse data-driven innovation in Precision Health
Lead and facilitate engagements with partners across the ecosystem, including other public sector agencies, universities, hospitals and industry players, to develop and implement strategies that attract R&D investments into Singapore, fuel our local biotech ecosystem or improve population health
Monitor key scientific, industry and regulatory trends to guide the development of R&D strategies and capabilities
Manage administration and drive improvements related to A*STAR research units
Job Requirements:
Degree or postgraduate degree in Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, or any other disciplines relating to Biomedical or Data Sciences.
At least 3 years of working experience in either research, clinical or business roles related to the above discipline
Knowledge and competence in the field of data-driven innovation (e.g. Biomedical AI, Digital Health) and precision medicine would be advantageous
Able to work independently and a strong team player
Excellent written and oral communication skills Excellent interpersonal skills to engage internal and external stakeholders
Meticulous, excellent problem solving and analytical skills and able to multi-task
