About You
Senior Manager, Strategist APAC
- Passionate about consumer psychology and advertising
- Confident with self-discipline to work independently, but is also a team player that is humble enough to have their POV changed by others
- Innate curiosity to learn, with the critical thinking needed to analyze data and identify solutions
- An ability to explain complex ideas in a succinct captivating way, verbally and visually – You’ve not only explained Bitcoin to your grandmother, but she now invests in it
- Not afraid to provoke others or be provoked
- A minimum experience of 6-7 years in similar developed in other marketing/communications agencies in strategy units
- Someone who started to developed their own thinking and opinion around the role of strategy for brands and companies
- Someone who already have worked in with a Senior/partner Strategist crafting a full strategy and responsible for some of the pieces of it even if not fully in autonomy.
- Able to understand basic language of marketing and communication learned during client meetings and reading a lot of brand and clients briefs
- Someone who started to ask the difference between an observation and a consumer insight
- Someone with a positive, ‘hungry’ attitude
- Passionate about strategy & communication planning
- Not afraid to express their own thoughts with other more senior colleagues
- Self-motivating personality, resilient and stress resistant
- Fluent in English and hopefully other languages

- Analytic approach and test and learn culture
- Power user of Office package
You are going to begin a journey to positively provoke growth in brands.
- Learn basic strategy principles of Provocative Planning and Wavemaker’s proprietary tools
- Research, interpret, and synthesize information from a variety of sources to understand how the category operates and the client’s current standing (Sales, competitive, brand, content and audience analysis)
- Interrogate the client brief to find key tasks
- Identify audiences that represent an opportunity for growth
- Audit the consumer journey to identify opportunities for communication (social listening, field observation, interviews)
- Participate in ideation sessions, working with partner agencies
- Assist in developing media channel allocation and role of media channels across POE
- Collaborate with planning, data sciences and investment teams to bring strategy to life
- Develop succinct and clear presentations that deliver the communications strategy and ideas both internally and externally
