About the role
A solution orientated Senior Procurement Executive who can formulate and drive a consistent approach towards all sourcing, negotiation, purchasing and tendering activities, to ensure value for money is maximized and cost savings generated. She/he will always ensure that all purchasing activities support and strengthen the strategic objectives of the overall organization.
What you will be doing
- Drive for cost reduction initiatives, promote sustainable sourcing and continuous business processes improvement
- Support backend offices such as OPS, Facility, HR, IT, QHSE, Sustainability team etc. In sourcing, negotiation activities and vendor management
- Attending to Operations’ feedback and assist in resolving problems with suppliers
- Work closely with Legal in contract negotiation with suppliers
- Carry out day-to-day purchasing activities, PR/PO review and approval, new vendor on-boarding process and procurement tools administration
- Regular catalogue/SKU creation, update and clean-up
- Lead in strategic sourcing and execute end to end tender process
- Possess excellent in negotiation skills
- Contract management including review & negotiation of contractual terms
- To achieve individual and department cost saving set by the manager
- Conduct Supplier Performance Evaluation on quarterly/yearly basis or as and when required by the BU or customer
- Work closely with cross-functional regional procurement team to align and apply on the best purchasing practices, SOP/guidelines and Procurement system
The successful candidate
- Degree/Diploma in Business or Supply Chain fields
- Ideally 5 years of working experience in indirect purchasing in logistics industry is an advantage
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal/communication skills and effective problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated, possess initiative, demonstrate proactivity and a good-team player with a high level of integrity
- A positive, multi-task & open mind player with “Can Do” attitude at all times
- Strong hands-on knowledge on SAP/Oracle material management module
- Smart time management of workload, resourceful and able to perform and accomplish the tasks assigned under tight schedule
- Highly proficient in MS Exel & Microsoft office
- Notwithstanding the above, you are required to undertake any other responsibilities assigned by the Procurement manager
